NASA Great Lakes Region HPDE-intro

HPDE 1 Introducion Video

HPDE-intro is an introductory opportunity for drivers who want to try a single day, lower cost option to track driving. HPDE-intro is not available at all events due to time constraints and other factors. When you sign up for HPDE-intro you will be required to attend classroom instruction, you’ll receive THREE on-track sessions with an Instructor, utilizing HPDE 1 on-track rules.

Preparation is straight forward. Bring a car in good condition, with good brakes and good tires. You will need a helmet (See NASA’s CCR for current requirements). Long pants, closed toed shoes and eye protection are recommended.

Once you have signed up, you will immediately receive a confirmation receipt. In addition to the information on the website, you will receive a final event information e-mail on the Tuesday before the event, with specific information about your weekend.

Just like our other HPDE drivers, you’ll be required to attend the early morning car tech, the all hands HPDE meetings and the HPDE 1 standup and classroom meetings.

NASA puts an emphasis on having a great driving experience, lots of fun and of course includes all the safety components of on-track driving that we are famous for.

Click Schedule above for events that will include the HPDE-intro. Under each event there is an icon that represents the HPDE-intro sessions.
